Such a polite talking scale
Mar 27, 2025  |  By Jen
This is my third talking kitchen scale and it is by far the most human like voice and quite polite, it says Hello and Goodbye rather than Power On or Off. the voice is very clear and easy to understand, no more confusion over 17 and 70 sounding the same. It seems well constructed and the buttons are big and easy to identify what you are touching. The volume is a bit loud even at the lower setting. It does not tell you which mode is selected so depending on your level of vision you may not know if it is set to grams or ounces until there is a weight being spoken. It does a rapid beep before speaking a negative weight and this is a function both me and my dog wish could be turned off. I do not understand the necessity to speak a negative weight when you remove a container, something I do when I need to fill a measuring cup with water for baking bread, many scales are using this function now and it is my biggest complaint because it's unnecessary and distracting and the beeping is unpleasant to sensitive dog ears. I do wish the instruction manual was in large print or available electronically considering it is intended to be used by vision impaired people, I had to have someone else read it for me. Overall I am happy with the scale but I wish it had a few more customizable options.
