Deaf Child Crossing by Marlee Matlin

Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin has written a compelling and humorous story of friendship, based on events from her own childhood. Despite the fact that Megan is deaf and Cindy can hear, the two girls become inseparable when Cindy moves into Megan's neighborhood. However when they go away to summer camp, their friendship is put to the test. Both girls have to learn what it means to be a friend.
