Introducing A to 3, a spelling card game for ages 8 to infinity that can be played with 2 to 5 players, as solitaire, and even as a tournament game for large groups of players using multiple decks. It has been specially designed with large, bold graphics, so friends and family members with low vision can participate in the fun!

A to 3 GAME BASICS:
- Each player starts with a hand of ten cards including 3 to 5 vowel cards, with the remainder being consonants.
- Players arrange their cards into words. Each card is worth one to three points, indicated by the dots at the bottom of the card.
- Using higher point cards at the beginning of words will increase the player's score.
- Using all ten of the cards in words earns Bonus Points!

LOW VISION INFORMATION: A to 3 was designed to be accessible for low vision players, both in the card graphics and the gameplay.

CARD GRAPHICS: Graphics are large and bold. Card backs, and the point value on the card faces, can be recognized by design features alone. Players need not have accurate color perception to differentiate the characteristics of the cards. The card backs of the vowel cards have a large rectangle with the word "VOWEL" at the top. Even if the player cannot read the word "vowel," the rectangle should be visible. On the card faces, the point value of each card is indicated by the one to three dots at the bottom of the card.

GAMEPLAY: Each player spreads his or her hand of 10 cards out on the table right in front of themself, and works with those cards. There is no central draw pile to see, and being able to see the cards of the other players at the table does not give a player an advantage in the game. As long as the player can read the letters and see the point-value dots on the cards right in front of them, they can effectively play the game.

SCORE SHEETS: Regular and large type-size score sheets are included in the game box and may be copied, or may be printed from our Score Sheets page. Alternately, one player may help another player by recording their score for them. A hand drawn score sheet may also be used. And for those who prefer to dispense with score sheets altogether, the game may be played without keeping a cumulative score. In this case, the highest scorer of each round receives a token (such as a poker chip), and the player with the most tokens at the end of six rounds is declared the winner.
