Blind Canes

A blind or sight-impaired person’s cane is predominantly white coloring and either with or without a red tip. To properly fit yourself with a cane, subtract 18 from your height in inches. For example, a person who was 5’6” would be 66 inches tall. Subtract 18 from that amount and you have 48”. Therefore, a person who is 5’6” tall needs a 48” cane.
