Zeiss Teleloupe Spectacles GTX are head-worn loupes which must be fitted for each individual wearer by an eye-care professional. They are used for binocular, stereoscopic near vision in medicine and technology. The teleloupe systems with a Galilean design feature a 2x or 2.5x magnification and are each available with various working distances. The systems are contained in mounting rings which are cemented onto glass or plastic eyeglass lenses of any prescription. The carrier lens can be inserted into any sturdy spectacle frame with good fitting properties.

The small size of the systems allows good orientation to the surrounding field. The Teleloupe Spectacles GTX can be equipped with the Saphiro LED illumination. This allows an ideal, very easy combination of magnification and illumination. For cementing of the mounting rings, the following specifications are required:

1. single PD for distance. (The nasal inset for near is calculated on the basis of the different parameters listed from 2 to 4.2)
2. viewing height for near (center of mounting ring)
3. vertex distance (corneal vertex - front lens vertex)
4. prescription of carrier lenses
5. distance correction
6. near correction (specification of addition)
