Four successive sheets contain optotypes which are specially adapted to the requirements of low vision. Based on the test distances of 1 and 2m, visual acuities between 0.025 and 1.0 can be tested and read off at once without any need for conversion. The low acuity range has been graduated to allow reasonably reliable information to also be obtained on visual performance in the case of low acuities. Additional optotypes with the acuity grades 0.32 to 0.64 are available for the common viewing distance of 3m.

A lateral thumb index allows the optotype size to be quickly selected. The Test Charts for the Visually Impaired are also very suitable for performing standard acuity testing in the patient's home.

The DIN A 4 test charts are made of wear-resistant plastic with laminated, dirt-repellent covers. They can be easily positioned or hung up in any location and are ready for use at any time. They are just as easy to fold up again and can be stored without taking up much space.
