Hearing abilities are like fingerprints - everyone hears differently. The hardest to hear sounds are in the high frequencies and hearing abilities can vary by ear. Many people - even those with normal hearing - struggle to hear in noisy environments, or through heavy bass sounds. LINX DSP amplifies hard to hear frequencies while reducing background noise to enhance sound quality and clarity.

LINX DSP makes soft sounds louder and loud sounds softer. It analyzes the sound coming into the amplifier and determines how loud or soft it needs to be going out. This allows the user to hear soft sounds they normally would not hear and keeps loud sounds from hurting their ears. It incorporates LINX by providing a very "lifelike" or "natural" sound.

The Environment Management (EV) feature is what helps reduce the background noise for the user. It analyzes the environment looking for any noise that will get in the way of the user hearing the signal better. The Feedback Control feature keeps the amplifiers from whistling while in the user's ear.

D-Ring: This is the little plastic ring on the PS2500, it fits in the bowl of the ear and helps keep the device in the ear. It comes in small, medium or large. We ship them with mediums and will send small or large to the user if needed.

2-Tap Method: This is how the user changes the programs in the PS2500. They simply tap their hand over their ear and it will change the program. They will hear a certain number of beeps letting them know which program they are in (2 beeps for program 2 etc.) They will also hear 2 beeps sometimes without tapping, this is to let them know the battery to the PSAP is about to die

About LINX Technology: LINX produces a very "lifelike" or "hi fidelity" reproduction of the signal. So, in conversations you hear every little detail of the person's voice, and if you are listening to music it will sound like you are actually in the recording studio with the band.
