Lightning Plus with Speech is an integrated combination of the popular Lightning Magnifier and Thunder screen reader. Whatever appears on the computer screen can be magnified up to 36 times. It will also speak menus and dialog boxes, offering full speech feedback for most text based word processing tasks including editing documents in Microsoft Word, WordPad and Notepad.

This Lightning Plus with Speech USB and CD version includes 2 British RealSpeak voices (Daniel and Serena), as well as a portable USB memory stick, allowing Lightning to be used on any computer without having to install anything or be an administrator. Simply insert the USB stick into an available USB port on the PC and Lightning will automatically start.

Note: Lightning Magnifier is compatible with 32-bit versions of Windows. It does not support 64-bit versions of Windows.

In fact Lightning with Speech should speak the text from any accessible software program running on the computer.

Once Lightning Plus with Speech is installed, the computer will be able to speak masses of information on the internet from accessible websites. To work on the internet, Lightning with Speech installs our special internet browser called WebbIE.

COLOR AND LOCATOR OPTIONS:
Lightning Plus with Speech, with its customizable color options, allows for better viewing of the PC screen, with the potential to make browsing and reading easier. It can change the color of the screen theme, and vary the brightness level and contrast level.

Lightning Plus with Speech features highly visible and easily customizable pointer locators. This feature is designed to help the user track and keep a view of the mouse pointer even on pages which may hide or obscure it. The Caret (input cursor) is also customizable and can be highlighted making it easier for the user to find their way when word processing and data inputting.
